State Police, U.S. Marshals in Springfield

On the drive to the office this morning I took a detour through Springfield’s North End neighborhood. At the corner of Huntington and Main Streets I ran across a group of Massachusetts State Police troopers and U.S. Marshals heading into a large apartment building — probably to make a warrant arrest, I figured. I shot the photo above from across the street, waiting to see what happened.

They emerged from the building a few minutes later without making any arrests. “Sorry, no action for you,” one of the marshals said as the group walked past me.
